Zenith Bank/Delta Principals’ Cup Final Kicks Off Today in Asaba

The final of the 2025 Delta State Principals’ Cup football competition takes place today, 6th November, at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.

The tournament, now in its 8th edition, is a youth developmental initiative sponsored by Zenith Bank Plc in collaboration with the Delta State Government. Over 1,000 schools from all 25 local government areas of the state participated since the competition began on September 18 at St. Patrick’s Secondary School, Asaba.

The highly anticipated final will see Urhobo College, Effurun face Ogbeijoh Government School, promising a thrilling contest. Urhobo College secured their spot in the final following a successful protest against Otokutu Grammar School, while Ogbeijoh qualified after defeating Justice, Peace and Success Academy 5-4 on penalties, following a 2-2 draw in Ozoro.

Earlier, Justice, Peace and Success Academy will take on Otokutu Grammar School in the third-place match, which serves as the curtain-raiser for the final.

Delta State Governor Sherif Oborevwori is expected to grace the event, along with Delta FA Chairman Chief Ken Nwanmocha and top officials from Zenith Bank Plc. The CEO of Hideaplus Limited, Tony Pemu, confirmed that all arrangements have been completed for a smooth and successful final.
