NPFL: Mangut Relieved as Nasarawa United Edge Past Remo Stars

Nasarawa United’s technical adviser, Mbwas Mangut, has expressed relief following his team’s hard-fought 2-1 victory over defending champions Remo Stars at the Lafia City Stadium on Thursday.

The Solid Miners returned to winning ways after a challenging run, with Micheal Ibeh giving Remo Stars the early lead before John Joshua and Jofrank Istifanus struck to secure all three points for Nasarawa United.

Speaking to the club’s media team, Mangut acknowledged the difficulties his squad faced in recent weeks and expressed optimism about their upcoming match against Kwara United.

“It’s been a very difficult period for us, especially over the last three weeks, but we are glad to return to winning ways again,” Mangut said. “We lost two straight matches on the road, which was difficult to swallow. We believe that we will improve more in our next game against Kwara United this weekend, even though we know that the league is getting tougher.”
