
Controversial street pop musician Portable has announced his plans to return to school to further his education, citing the need to balance his fame with professionalism.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, the singer—who holds an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from Kwara State Polytechnic—explained that completing his education would help him better manage his career and personal responsibilities.
Portable said, “I wan go back to school. I want to finish my education. I dey sponsor people’s children and my own children too. I don’t want my children to [be] mocked that their father is illiterate. I didn’t collect the certificate for the ND programme that I did in Kwara State Polytechnic. But as I don make am now, I wan go back to school. So that I will be able to manage my music career better, and it will also help in my dealing with people.”
The announcement has sparked reactions from fans, many praising his commitment to education despite his success in the music industry.
