
Entrepreneur and former Obafemi Awolowo University Students’ Union Secretary, Louis Awode, has launched the Louis Awode Foundation (LAF) to promote inclusive education, community development, and empowerment in underserved communities.
- Inspired by his journey from Ogbere, Ogun State, Awode said the foundation aims to provide scholarships, mentorship, digital literacy, and vocational training.
- The Community Development pillar focuses on clean water, healthcare, and local economic empowerment.
- The Empowerment initiative targets youth, women, and persons with disabilities through entrepreneurship grants, financial literacy, and leadership workshops.
- The Global Impact component aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals to address poverty, inequality, and environmental sustainability worldwide.
The foundation’s leadership includes Bolatito Ajao (Marketing Lead/Secretary), Oyelola Olawale Kush (Event Strategist), and Chiahulamiro Stanley (Global Fundraiser).
Awode, a first-generation university graduate, holds degrees from University of Lagos, Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Dundee, and Georgia State University, and has a career bridging social entrepreneurship, technology, and advocacy for inclusion.
