The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) is set to host the 2025 National Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) GROW Nigerian Conference in Lagos from November 16 to 18. The three-day event aims to advance innovation, enterprise growth, and policy reforms within Nigeria’s MSME sector.
The conference will bring together top government officials and industry leaders, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and House of Representatives Speaker Dr. Tajudeen Abbas. Entrepreneur Tony Elumelu will deliver the keynote address, while the Lagos governor will host a stakeholder meeting recognizing states that have excelled in supporting MSME growth.
The program will focus on business, finance, technology, and the creative economy, featuring sessions on policy dialogue to guide the development of a new five-year National MSME Policy, replacing the one that expired this year. Discussions will bring together federal and state officials, private sector leaders, financiers, development partners, and MSME associations.
Special sessions include an overview of the new national tax law and its implications for small businesses, led by Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, and a major export session delivered by Mrs. Nonye Ayeni, Executive Director of NEPC.
The conference will also host the GROW Nigerian Fair, a large-scale exhibition showcasing promising Nigerian SMEs across sectors such as food, fashion, manufacturing, technology, and entertainment. A pitch competition will award winners 20 million naira in grants, providing significant support for emerging enterprises.
