The 2025 Almond Insurance Industry Awards, themed the ‘Recharged Edition’, recognized outstanding performers in Nigeria’s insurance sector at a glittering event held on Friday, 7th November, at the Stable Event Center, Lagos.

Company Awards:

• General Insurance Company of the Year: NEM Insurance Plc
• Life Insurance Company of the Year: AXA Mansard
• Micro Insurance Company of the Year: Casava Micro Insurance
• Insurance Broking Company of the Year: SCIB Nig & Co

Individual Awards:

• Insurance Woman of the Year: Mrs. Ebelechukwu Nwachukwu, MD/CEO, REX Insurance
• Insurance Broker of the Year: Mrs. Enitan Solarin, MD/CEO, YOA Insurance Brokers
• Insurance CEO of the Year (Most Coveted): Mr. Kunle Ahmed, MD/CEO, AXA Mansard Insurance Plc and Chairman, Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA)

The awards, which received over 17,000 votes from stakeholders within and outside the insurance industry, were judged based on criteria including financial strength, gross premium income, claims payment speed, corporate social responsibility, and brand visibility. Individual awards considered leadership skills, contributions to the industry, and company performance.

The event featured top-rated Nigerian entertainers in comedy, music, and dance-drama, and drew industry leaders and dignitaries, including Former Governor of Rivers State, H.E. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, and Mr. Bolaji Sumonla, Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Consultative Council.

The 2025 Almond Awards celebrated excellence and innovation in Nigeria’s insurance sector, highlighting the dynamism and impact of both companies and leaders shaping the industry.
