Nick Jonas explained that when brainstorming who could “set the tone” for the holiday film, Will Ferrell immediately came to mind. “We all thought there’s no chance he’ll actually do it. So we reached out, and he said, ‘Yeah, I’ll be there and I’ll bring my family. They’ll be in it, too,’” Nick said.
