Captain Cool Set to Redefine Air Conditioning Services in Nigeria

A new indigenous brand, Captain Cool, is making waves in Nigeria’s air conditioning industry, promising to raise standards of professionalism, technical quality, and reliability across the HVAC sector.

Launched in mid-2025 as a subsidiary of Sabiwork, Captain Cool was created in response to growing demand for skilled cooling system services, particularly during major construction projects nationwide.

Founder Olatayo Ajiboye explained that the brand was designed to address a long-standing service gap affecting both residential and commercial clients.

“We consistently saw clients who had invested in quality air conditioning systems but suffered from poor installation and irregular maintenance. This often led to inefficiency and discomfort. Captain Cool was conceived to bridge that service gap with a commitment to technical integrity and customer satisfaction,” Ajiboye said.

Within its first week, Captain Cool secured a contract to supply and install air conditioning units for a hotel project in Benin City, signaling early recognition of the company’s technical expertise and reliability.

The company offers end-to-end cooling services, including sales, installation, maintenance, system upgrades, and repairs. Its team of trained technicians is equipped to tackle industry challenges such as improper installation, inefficiency, and delayed service response.

Nigeria’s HVAC sector is expanding due to urbanisation, rising temperatures, and increased construction activity, but it faces challenges like erratic power supply, equipment price fluctuations, and a shortage of certified technicians. Captain Cool plans to address these through continuous staff training, transparent processes, and energy-conscious innovations.

Ajiboye highlighted that the company emphasises structure, accountability, and technology-driven monitoring to build client confidence while developing skilled professionals in the HVAC workforce.

Looking forward, Captain Cool aims to expand into major Nigerian cities and explore energy-efficient cooling solutions tailored to the country’s climate.

“Our vision is to help redefine how cooling services are delivered in Nigeria; through competence, honesty, and a culture of quality that benefits both clients and technicians,” Ajiboye added.

With a focus on professionalism and quality, Captain Cool is poised to become a benchmark in Nigeria’s air conditioning industry.
