The much-awaited special Dining With The Kapoors, which celebrates Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary, brought together multiple generations of Bollywood royalty, including Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Aadar Jain, and Navya Naveli Nanda. However, fans immediately noticed the absence of Alia Bhatt, the youngest Kapoor daughter-in-law and one of Bollywood’s top stars today.
Producer Armaan Jain addressed the curiosity, saying, “She had prior commitments to shoot. I might sound filmy, but like Raj Kapoor said, ‘work is worship.’” Director Smriti Mundhra added that scheduling conflicts are common in a family of actors and filmmakers, noting the understanding among family members when one can’t attend due to work.
Despite missing the shoot, Alia has shown her support by promoting the show on her Instagram stories. Dining With The Kapoors premieres on November 21 on Netflix, offering viewers an intimate look at the family’s traditions and reflections on Raj Kapoor’s legacy.
