Vicky Kaushal’s Uri Co-Star Riva Arora Recalls His Emotional Reaction to Her War Cry Scene

Riva Arora, who played Vicky Kaushal’s on-screen niece in Uri: The Surgical Strike, recently opened up about the actor’s heartfelt response during the filming of the iconic war cry scene.

In a chat with Filmygyan, Riva said, “Vicky Mamu… main toh unhe abhi tak Mamu hi bulati hun. But offscreen, he was the sweetest person, the most amazing. During my one-take scene, he was clapping the hardest and came over to hug me. He even said he started crying because it wasn’t his shot, and that moment made me feel like I had truly proved myself.”

Riva added that the support and encouragement from Vicky made her feel “on the seventh heaven”, highlighting the warmth and camaraderie on the Uri set.

Uri: The Surgical Strike, directed by Aditya Dhar, remains a milestone in Vicky Kaushal’s career, earning four National Awards, including Best Actor and Best Director.
