Top NNPP Mobiliser in Kano Resigns, Cites Neglect and Lack of Recognition

A prominent member of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Bichi Local Government Area, Hon. Jamilu Kabir Bichi, has resigned from the party, citing consistent sidelining despite his significant contributions.

Kabir, who served as the NNPP Director-General for the 2023 Campaign in Bichi, announced his resignation in a letter dated November 19, 2025, addressed to the party’s ward chairman.

Describing his decision as “painful yet necessary,” Kabir lamented that he and his supporters were neglected, particularly in his home community, and that the party leadership failed to acknowledge the efforts of loyal members.

He wrote:

“The leadership’s refusal at all levels to recognize our progressive agenda, loyalty, patience, and endurance has been deeply disheartening.”

Kabir further stated that many dedicated members who worked to build the party were denied opportunities to serve within the NNPP or in government roles following election victories, making it impossible for him to remain in the party.

“As a principled individual with a political vision and mission… I can no longer, in good conscience, remain in a party that compromises my values,” he added.

He expressed gratitude to his political mentor, former Minister of Commerce and Industry Hon. Ahmad Garba Bichi, praising his patience, loyalty, and straightforwardness.

Kabir concluded by emphasizing his commitment to “politics without bitterness” and prayed for guidance for the people of Bichi, Kano, and Nigeria, while pledging to continue serving humanity.
