Osita Okechukwu, APC founding member, praised President Bola Tinubu for invoking Clause 40 of the 1215 Magna Carta at the Nigerian Judges’ Conference, which emphasizes:
“To no one will we sell, to no one will we deny or delay right or justice.”
Okechukwu highlighted that this principle embodies the rule of law, ensuring justice is fair, accessible, and not influenced by wealth or status. He commended Tinubu for acknowledging public concerns about judicial delays, integrity issues, and access to justice.
He said the President has set the stage for a judicial rebirth through reforms, capacity building, and modernization. Moving forward, Okechukwu stressed the need for discipline, anti-corruption measures, welfare for citizens, and consistent implementation to restore public trust in Nigeria’s judicial system.
