Elliot Page, 38, is thrilled to be reuniting with acclaimed director Christopher Nolan on the upcoming film The Odyssey, marking 15 years since their collaboration on the 2010 sci-fi blockbuster Inception. The Canadian actor-producer shared his excitement during a panel at New York Comic-Con on Sunday, October 12.
“I loved working with him on Inception,” Page said, recalling his role as an architecture student recruited to design dreamscapes in the mind-bending thriller starring Leonardo DiCaprio. When Nolan, 55, reached out to cast Page in his next project — a star-studded adaptation of Homer’s epic The Odyssey — Page said he was “jazzed and excited.”
“I met with Chris, talked about the part, and then sat in a room and read the script. And, you know, it was of course a big yes,” Page recounted. Although the actor could not reveal many details about the upcoming film, he emphasized the joy of working with Nolan again. “To come back now, being more comfortable in yourself makes these sorts of projects more enjoyable… To get to have a Chris Nolan experience again now — that actually really just meant so much to me.”
Page reflected on the secrecy of reading The Odyssey’s script, which reminded him of the intense confidentiality surrounding Inception. “I remember it just felt like an engine. You get on a ride,” he said.
Page’s appearance at NYCC also served as a walk down memory lane. He reunited with James McAvoy, revisiting their 2014 superhero hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, as well as other projects including Super and The Umbrella Academy. During the panel, McAvoy addressed rumors about potential new actors joining future X-Men films, expressing enthusiasm for the franchise’s continuation under the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In addition to The Odyssey, Page is continuing work as founder of Pageboy Productions, including a TV adaptation of the video game Beyond: Two Souls, in which he performed motion capture.
The Odyssey boasts an all-star cast including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, and Elliot Page. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 17, 2026.
