Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has opened up about a shocking script she was offered early in her career.

During an appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast, Nkechi revealed that she was once asked to perform a scene involving sleeping with a dog. She said she turned down the role, prioritizing her reputation and long-term career prospects.

The actress explained that her decision was influenced by a desire to avoid being typecast or associated with explicit content.

“Even as a newcomer, I was given a script to sleep with a dog. I rejected it because I couldn’t start my career that way. Imagine, my very first movie, and I’m sleeping with a dog. It didn’t make sense,” Nkechi said.

She added, “Whatever you start your career with is what people will associate you with. I didn’t want to be known as someone who does that in movies. So, I rejected the script. But as soon as I threw it down, many girls picked it up. I’m not sure any of them are in the limelight today.”
