BREAKING: Two Killed As Bandits Storm Tudun Wadan Rido Village in Kaduna

Two residents of Tudun Wadan Rido in Chikun Local Government Area, Kaduna State, were killed on Tuesday night in a deadly attack by armed bandits.

Eyewitnesses reported that the attackers, who arrived in large numbers, opened fire indiscriminately, leaving several others seriously injured. The wounded were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment after the assailants fled.

A local source described the chaos that ensued as the bandits stormed the village. Authorities had not released an official statement at the time of reporting.

Kaduna State has been grappling with persistent security challenges, with rural communities remaining particularly vulnerable.

This latest attack follows a recent high-profile abduction in the state. Last Wednesday, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ezema of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Rumi, was reportedly kidnapped from his residence. The Catholic Diocese of Zaria confirmed the abduction in a statement signed by Rev. Fr. Isek Augustine, urging public support for the priest’s safe return.
