Popular Nigerian comedian and actor Woli Arole has addressed questions from fans about why he rarely shares photos or videos of his family on social media.
The skit maker spoke after repeatedly being asked by followers why his home life remains largely private, despite his active and influential presence online.
In a post shared on Instagram, Arole made it clear that his marriage was never intended for public display or social media validation. According to him, marriage goes far beyond online appearances and content creation.
Reacting directly to the curiosity surrounding his private life, the comedian stated bluntly, “I didn’t marry for posting.”
He explained that the foundation of his marriage is built on companionship and emotional connection, not public attention or digital approval.
“I didn’t marry for posting. I married for companionship,” Arole wrote, emphasizing that intimacy and shared values matter more than social media visibility.
The comedian also used the opportunity to caution against oversharing personal lives online. He reminded social media users that not every aspect of life needs to be public and warned against seeking validation through online platforms.
“Not everything about your life should be public. Abeg. What if there was no social media, won’t you live?” he added.
