Cheating Is Not a Dealbreaker for Me – Toyosi Etim-Effiong

Toyosi Etim-Effiong, wife of Nollywood actor Daniel Etim-Effiong, has opened up about her personal beliefs on marriage and infidelity, stating that cheating alone is not enough reason for her to walk away from a relationship.

She made the revelation during a recent episode of the Toke Moments podcast, where she spoke candidly about marriage, commitment, and the role of faith in sustaining long-term relationships.

According to Toyosi, her response to marital challenges is deeply rooted in spirituality rather than immediate separation. She explained that when faced with difficult situations such as infidelity, she prioritises prayer, faith, and spiritual guidance as tools for preserving her marriage and protecting her family.

Toyosi further emphasised that building a successful marriage requires love, resilience, and intentional communication. She added that understanding, patience, and continuous effort from both partners are essential for maintaining a strong and lasting union.

Sharing a personal example, she revealed that she created a prayer group aimed at supporting wives in the entertainment industry and interceding for their marriages.

In her words:

“Cheating is not a dealbreaker for me. I even created a prayer group — Wives of Entertainers Prayer Group — to pray for our husbands so that Jezebels will not carry them. I believe people can be lured, so in our prayer group, we pray.”

Toyosi’s remarks have since sparked conversations online about marriage, forgiveness, and the different ways couples choose to handle challenges in their relationships.
