An online commentator has sparked fresh controversy after alleging that Peller’s car crash on December 14, 2025, was staged for content.
The claim was made during an Instagram livestream by an individual identified on X as @austeiin, who described himself as an expert. According to him, both the car crash and Peller’s reported breakup with fellow content creator Jarvis were deliberate stunts designed to generate engagement online.
It will be recalled that Peller was involved in a car accident along the Eko Expressway, where passersby reportedly rushed to assist and transport him to a nearby hospital. The incident quickly went viral, drawing widespread concern and speculation from the public.
Reacting to the situation, the commentator dismissed the incident as “content,” boldly stating that he could bet his entire December salary on the claim. He further questioned Peller’s relevance and the kind of value he believes the influencer brings to the public space.
In the viral post, the expert criticised Nigerians for what he described as excessive hype around social media drama, arguing that Peller’s popularity is fueled by loud behaviour, gimmicks, and controversial stunts rather than meaningful contributions.
He also questioned Jarvis’ involvement in the relationship, expressing surprise that an educated individual would agree to date Peller and turn their relationship into public content with little or no boundaries.
According to him, the highly publicised breakup between Jarvis and Peller is “pure fallacy,” insisting that both the relationship drama and the car crash were carefully orchestrated to farm engagement.
“I can bet my December salary on it,” he wrote, concluding that the entire situation reflects Nigerians’ tendency to amplify online drama and then act shocked when it escalates.
