Rotary Club to Renovate School and Children’s Park in Ikeja

The Rotary Club of Minimah Estate District 9112 has announced plans to renovate ten classroom blocks at Military Primary School, Ikeja Army Cantonment, and restore the Children’s Recreational Park at Minimah Estate, Ikeja.

The announcement was made by Charter President Gen. Anthony Onibasa during the club’s Investiture and Fundraising Ceremony held at the Officers Mess, Ikeja Army Cantonment. He revealed that the projects are estimated to cost N25 million and will build on previous humanitarian initiatives, including a maternity and child health project executed by the club.

Gen. Onibasa encouraged philanthropists to support humanitarian causes, emphasizing the importance of collective effort in making Nigeria a better place.

District 9112 Governor, Lanre Adedoyin, highlighted that such fundraising events enable the club to raise substantial funds to implement impactful projects, benefiting society at large.

Dr. Olushola Odusanya, Director General of Nigeria’s National Centre for Technology Management (NACETEM), praised the Charter President and the Rotary Club for their productive projects, stressing the importance of investing in initiatives that improve the country.

Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Mr. Tunbosun Aruwe, also commended the club for supporting local healthcare and community development efforts.

The event featured awards presentations and members’ inauguration, further celebrating the Rotary Club’s commitment to humanitarian service.
