Nobel laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka and Juju music legend Chief Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi are set to feature in Ogun State’s ‘50-Day Challenge’, a programme commemorating 50 years since the state’s creation on February 3, 1976.

Organized by Tripod Media, the initiative aims to highlight Ogun State’s legacy in nation building, leadership, manpower development, and contributions to civilization. The programme began at EmFelix Event and Conference Centre, Abeokuta, with a news briefing, and will allocate 50 minutes each day to celebrate the state’s achievements until February 3, 2026.

Tripod Media CEO, Mr. Dare Adedotun, emphasized that Ogun State has produced remarkable individuals who have excelled in education, health, industry, religion, activism, music, and more. He described these accomplishments as worthy of nationwide recognition.

The ‘50-Day Challenge’ will feature literary and debating competitions, quizzes, essay contests, and road walks, providing platforms to showcase the state’s rich history and impact on national development.

Adedotun remarked:
