Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has addressed circulating rumours suggesting she shares a close friendship with Annie Idibia, firmly stating that the claims are inaccurate.

Speaking during an interview on Naija FM 102.7, the actress clarified that her interaction with Annie has always been limited and strictly professional.

“Apart from the African Queen video, I don’t think anybody has seen us together before. We don’t have common friends,” Yvonne said.

She stressed that there has never been any personal relationship or friendship between them, adding that she does not understand how the narrative gained traction.

“I don’t know where they are getting that story from. I only walked into a studio, did my part for the African Queen video, and left,” she explained.

Yvonne also dismissed claims of a social media fallout between them, revealing that she and Annie have never followed each other online. According to her, rumours about unfollowing or online tension are completely unfounded.

Her clarification comes amid recent online speculation suggesting she was close to Annie Idibia while simultaneously supporting the union between 2Baba and his new wife, Natasha Osawaru.

Following her remarks, many fans noted how celebrity relationships are often exaggerated, while others commended her for addressing the issue calmly and without controversy.
