PGF Dismisses One-Party State Claims, Credits APC’s Popularity

The Progressives Governors Forum (PGF) has dismissed claims that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is steering Nigeria toward a one-party state.

PGF Chairman, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, stated in Abuja that the APC’s growing influence reflects public approval of its performance rather than attempts to suppress opposition. He highlighted the party’s expansion to 28 governors, reforms in education, health, and the economy, and ongoing initiatives that he said are driving national recovery. Uzodimma called for continued peace and collaboration to strengthen Nigeria’s growth trajectory.
