Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has revealed how Afrobeats superstar Wizkid taught her that true confidence isn’t about making noise.

Speaking about her experiences with Wizkid during an interview on Tuesday, following her performance at the Grammy Museum, Ayra Starr described him as a “leading legend.”

She explained that working with Wizkid showed her important lessons about confidence and purpose:

“Wizkid is a leading legend. We all know that. The first time I worked with him, I just couldn’t believe it, and I was completely myself. But the second time, he was very calm, cool, and relaxed. I realized that confidence isn’t noise—he made me understand that. He’s very present and assured in his life mission, and that taught me a lot.”
