Portable Speaks Out After Clash at Odumodublvck’s Concert

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has addressed a reported altercation that occurred at Odumodublvck’s recent concert, providing details about what he says triggered the incident.

According to Portable, the confrontation began as he was entering the venue when an individual allegedly whispered a provocative comment in his ear, referencing Prophet Muhammad in a disrespectful manner. He claimed the remark quickly drew attention from nearby attendees, escalating tensions.

Portable explained that he chose to stand his ground, which led to a physical confrontation. Both sides reportedly exchanged blows before security intervened and restored order.

Despite the clash, Portable said the concert atmosphere shifted once he took to the stage. He added that some individuals who were initially involved in the fight later joined the crowd, cheering him on during his performance.

“For Odumodublvck concert yesterday, as we dey enter, someone whispered in my ear ‘Anobi Mohammed ti ku’ [Prophet Mohammed is dead]. About 15 people gathered against me. Na God make I stand o. I stand strong. Them throw blow, I throw blow. Before I perform, even people wey fight me dey shout Zazoo.”

The singer’s account highlights how tensions can quickly escalate in crowded events but also shows how music helped turn the situation around, with the audience eventually rallying behind him.
