Nantes defender Chidozie Awaziem has declared his readiness to play in any position for the Super Eagles at AFCON 2025, DAILY POST reports.
Following the retirement of former captain William Troost-Ekong, Awaziem is now one of the most experienced defenders in the team. The 28-year-old will be making his fourth appearance at the AFCON finals, having played in the 2019, 2021, and 2023 editions.
Awaziem was part of the squad that won bronze in Egypt and the team that finished second in Côte d’Ivoire. Committed to helping Nigeria secure the title, the former Leganés player expressed his willingness to adapt to any role.
“If the coach wants me to be a goalkeeper, I’m ready. If he wants me to be a striker, I’m ready,” he told Elegbete TV.
