Muyiwa Ajayi-Bembe Foundation Distributes Food Items to 400 Families in Lagos

The Muyiwa Ajayi-Bembe Foundation has provided relief to over 400 families in the Lagos Island area through its annual Women Christmas Outreach 2025, aimed at easing hardship and spreading hope during the festive season.

The event, organised by Ajayi-Bembe Olumuyiwa & Friends, took place at the Obanikoro Palace, where beneficiaries, mostly women and vulnerable households, received 10kg bags of rice and bottles of vegetable oil.

Founder Muyiwa Ajayi-Bembe explained that the foundation was established in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic to address basic needs, and has since evolved into a structured community development initiative. Over the years, the foundation has also organised football competitions for youth engagement and provided boreholes to improve access to clean water.

Ajayi-Bembe emphasized that the Christmas outreach complements the efforts of the Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in cushioning the effects of economic reforms on citizens.

Chief Adesoji Adeniji Ajayiwele, Obanikoro’s Secretary of Traditional Chiefs, praised the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful, particularly for vulnerable women. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude, noting the outreach brought joy and support to families during the festive season.

The Women Christmas Outreach remains part of the foundation’s ongoing commitment to grassroots support, community development, and social welfare in Obanikoro and surrounding areas.
