Former Super Eagles captain Austin Jay-Jay Okocha has ranked six footballers as superior dribblers compared to Cristiano Ronaldo.

In a recent discussion with Nigerian journalist Kelechi Anyikude, Okocha conducted a blind ranking of ten elite dribblers ahead of Nigeria’s opening 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) match against Tanzania in Morocco.

Okocha placed the late Diego Maradona at the top, describing him as a “street footballer” with unmatched skills. Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi was ranked second, followed by Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane in third place.

Brazilian forward Neymar took fourth, while Okocha modestly placed himself fifth. Morocco’s Adel Taarabt came sixth, with Ronaldo in seventh place, and Barcelona legend Ronaldinho eighth. The ranking was rounded out by France’s Hatem Ben Arfa in ninth and Portugal’s Ricardo Quaresma in tenth.
