Kota, Jan 2, 2026: Kota Rural Police recorded a stellar performance in 2025, disposing of almost all complaints filed electronically and achieving the highest disposal efficiency among police units in Rajasthan.
Speaking at a press briefing, Kota Superintendent of Police Sujit Shankar said the force achieved a complaint disposal efficiency of 99.83%, while the jurisdiction also saw a 15.81% reduction in total cognisable offences compared to 2024.
Decline in Serious Crimes:
- Murder cases fell by over 23%
- Attempted murder declined by 8.57%
- Kidnapping and abduction dropped sharply by 34.53%
- Robbery decreased by 54.55%
- Burglary fell by 25.76%
- Theft declined nearly 23%
Crimes Against Women: Overall offences against women reduced by 6%, indicating a focus on women’s safety and protection.
Operation Sudama: The police traced and reunited 150 missing persons with their families.
Action Against Drugs:
- 133 cases registered under the NDPS Act
- 195 accused arrested
- Seizure of narcotics worth over ₹6 crore
- Vehicles used in smuggling confiscated
- Illegal properties and structures linked to trafficking demolished
Combating Illegal Liquor:
- 540+ excise cases registered
- 547 arrests made
- Over 43,000 litres of illicit liquor seized
Other Law-and-Order Initiatives:
- Over 2,000 habitual and anti-social offenders arrested under area domination drives
- Preventive actions taken to curb organised crime and repeat offenders
Road Safety: Focused interventions led to a 13% decline in road accidents in the district.
SP Sujit Shankar credited these achievements to “dedicated policing, robust technology use, community engagement, and proactive preventive action,” highlighting Kota Rural Police as a model for efficiency and public safety in Rajasthan.
This performance underscores the force’s commitment to reducing crime, safeguarding citizens, and enhancing law enforcement effectiveness across the district.
