Mumbai, October 14, 2025: The trailer for De De Pyaar De 2, the sequel to Akiv Ali’s 2019 hit De De Pyaar De, was released on Tuesday. Directed by Anshul Sharma, the film stars Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, Gautami Kapoor, R. Madhavan, and Meezaan Jafri. The trailer has already sparked discussion online, with fans sharing nostalgia and mixed opinions about the sequel.

The trailer opens with Ayesha (Rakul Preet Singh) informing her parents, played by R. Madhavan and Gautami Kapoor, that her boyfriend Ashish (Ajay Devgn) is slightly older than her and divorced. While her parents initially appear understanding, they soon bristle at the idea of having someone their own age, Ajay’s character, as their son-in-law.

Rakul’s character also admits to hiding Ashish’s real age from her parents. Meanwhile, her parents attempt to introduce a younger suitor, played by Meezaan Jafri, in hopes that she may not choose Ajay.
