Kaduna Governor Prioritizes Pilgrims’ Welfare Ahead of 2026 Hajj

The welfare of pilgrims is a top priority for Governor Uba Sani, as he seeks to ensure a safe, comfortable, and spiritually enriching Hajj experience, according to Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency.

Abubakar made the statement during the launch of the Public Enlightenment Programme, commonly referred to as BITA, at the Kinkinau Qur’anic Recitation Centre. The programme is part of preparations for a smooth and hassle-free 2026 Hajj operation.

Represented by Malam Baba Rufa’i, the Administrative Secretary, Abubakar emphasized that the BITA programme plays a crucial role in preparing pilgrims by educating and informing them about the essential rites and obligations of the Hajj. He urged all intending pilgrims to take the programme seriously, engage actively, and follow all guidelines closely.

A statement from Ibrahim Datti Makarfi, the Agency’s Public Relations Officer, further revealed that Abubakar encouraged pilgrims to ask relevant questions during the enlightenment sessions and strictly adhere to the provided instructions.

The BITA programme covers key areas such as Hajj rites, health and safety guidelines, Saudi laws and regulations, and the importance of discipline, patience, and cooperation among pilgrims. It aims to equip pilgrims with the knowledge and mindset needed for a successful journey.

During the event, Abubakar also praised Governor Sani for the ongoing reconstruction of the Kaduna State Hajj Transit Camp at Mando. He described the project as a significant milestone in improving pilgrims’ welfare.

The Chairman assured that the camp will be completed before the 2026 Hajj season, and it will feature modern facilities, including better accommodations, sanitation, and medical services.

Abubakar further commended the Governor for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the welfare of pilgrims, highlighting his people-centered approach and compassion in ensuring a better Hajj experience for all.
