Ogun Police Command Welcomes Newly Commissioned Officers, Emphasizes Professionalism

The Ogun State Police Command recently welcomed newly commissioned officers from Regular Course 7 of the Nigeria Police Academy in Wudil, Kano. These officers were formally posted following their Passing Out Parade and Presidential commissioning into the Nigeria Police Force.

Having completed a rigorous five-year training program, the officers were enrolled in an orientation session on Tuesday to help them become familiar with the operational structure and policing expectations of the Ogun State Command.

In his address to the officers, Commissioner of Police Lanre Ogunlowo emphasized the importance of maintaining the highest standards of ethics, discipline, and professionalism throughout their careers. He urged them to remain committed to upholding human rights and the rule of law while serving the people of Ogun State. Ogunlowo also stressed the need for officers to be law-abiding, approachable, and proactive in their efforts to prevent crime.

The event also featured a series of lectures led by the Commissioner of Police and the Command’s Management Team. Topics included leadership, ethical conduct, operational readiness, and community policing, with a focus on reinforcing the critical role of discipline and professionalism in policing.
