The Ogun State Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), CN Tijjani Rabe, has urged newly promoted officers to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, underscoring the importance of both personal and professional development.
The charge was delivered during the decoration ceremony of 58 newly promoted officers at the NDLEA Command’s headquarters in Abeokuta on Tuesday. The promoted officers include 17 Senior Narcotic Agents (SNA), 19 Chief Narcotic Agents (CNA), 9 Assistant Superintendents of Narcotics II (ASN II), and 13 Assistant Superintendents of Narcotics I (ASN I).
In his address, Commander Rabe emphasized that the promotions signify more than just an elevation in rank, but a recognition of the officers’ dedication to the agency’s mission of combating drug abuse and trafficking. He noted that the insignia now worn by the officers represent their commitment to excellence, integrity, and service, and urged them to continue leading by example in their new roles.
Rabe also encouraged the officers to continually seek opportunities for education, training, and self-development. “Constant growth is necessary for peak performance and leadership,” he stressed, adding that investing in their growth will not only enhance their effectiveness in their roles but will also serve as a model for others, inspiring a culture of excellence across the Command.
The State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Wasiu Isiaka, who was present at the event, congratulated the officers and commended the Ogun NDLEA Command for its sustained efforts in tackling drug abuse and illicit trafficking. He highlighted the strong collaboration between his ministry and the Command, praising the positive transformations that have occurred under Commander Rabe’s leadership.
The ceremony, which was attended by various dignitaries and senior officers of the NDLEA, ended with a group photograph session to commemorate the occasion.
