Pillarcraft Becomes Official System Integrator for Nigeria’s e-Invoicing Framework

Pillarcraft Cloud Solutions has been officially accredited as a System Integrator for Nigeria’s e-Invoicing framework under the ongoing tax reform initiative, marking a significant step in the nation’s digital tax administration transformation.

This accreditation was granted by the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) in collaboration with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA). It places Pillarcraft among a select group of service providers authorized to connect corporate business systems to the NRS e-invoicing platform, designed to streamline tax reporting and compliance for businesses.

What is the Role of a System Integrator?

The NRS e-invoicing framework, formerly known as the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), involves System Integrators that play a crucial role in linking business systems—such as enterprise resource planning (ERP), accounting, or invoicing software—to the NRS e-invoicing platform. These integrators ensure that invoices generated by businesses are accurately converted into the prescribed NRS e-invoice format and securely transmitted for validation, compliance, and audit purposes.

As a licensed service provider, Pillarcraft’s role is pivotal in helping businesses comply with the new e-invoicing regulations by converting their invoices into the required NRS format and facilitating their transmission to the tax authorities through licensed Access Point Providers.

Pillarcraft’s Technical Solution: UsawaConnect

In line with its accreditation, Pillarcraft has launched UsawaConnect, a specialized B2B e-invoicing middleware that connects business systems, such as ERP and accounting platforms, to the NRS Merchant Buyer Platform. UsawaConnect™ acts as a technical bridge, converting business-generated invoices into the appropriate e-invoice format, transmitting the data securely, and ensuring the invoices are validated for compliance.

Pillarcraft emphasizes that this middleware is not just a compliance tool but a scalable solution that helps businesses seamlessly integrate e-invoicing into their existing systems without requiring any major changes to their software infrastructure. This approach reduces operational disruptions while enhancing efficiency.

A Secure and Scalable Solution for Businesses

Pillarcraft’s middleware solution, UsawaConnect™, is built to cater to businesses of all sizes—from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to large corporations and software vendors. It provides a secure integration layer that ensures the transmission of validated invoices, maintains audit-ready records, and supports businesses in complying with Nigeria’s digital tax regulations.

Founder of Pillarcraft, Bayode Agbi, stressed that the accreditation and launch of UsawaConnect™ reflect years of practical experience in tax, accounting, and technology. He highlighted that the e-invoicing framework is not just a technological update but a fundamental shift in how businesses manage tax compliance and governance.

Agbi noted, “E-invoicing is not just a technology project; it is a tax and business transformation.” He emphasized that Pillarcraft’s goal is to ensure that businesses can leverage digital compliance as an operational efficiency tool rather than a burdensome process.

Looking to the Future of Digital Tax Administration

Pillarcraft’s accreditation is a significant milestone in Nigeria’s ongoing tax reform initiative, aimed at modernizing the country’s tax infrastructure. By offering seamless integration to the NRS e-invoicing system, Pillarcraft aims to support organizations in navigating the complex digital tax landscape, ensuring better audit preparedness and scaling e-invoicing capabilities across different business units.

The company’s long-standing experience in tax practice and its role as an implementation partner for global cloud solutions makes it a trusted partner for businesses seeking digital compliance solutions. Pillarcraft’s vision is to drive the broader modernization of Nigeria’s tax administration, contributing to a more transparent, efficient, and business-friendly environment.
