Popular Nollywood actress Bolaji Ogunmola has threatened to sue United Nigeria Airline following repeated flight cancellations and delays that left her stranded in Ekiti State.
The actress, who had traveled to Ekiti for work and was scheduled to return to Lagos for another film shoot, revealed that her flight was cancelled twice in two days without prior communication, causing major disruptions to her schedule.
In an Instagram video posted Thursday morning, Ogunmola expressed her frustration:
“I was supposed to fly yesterday. I got to the airport, and they said the flight was delayed. Hours later, they cancelled it entirely. I tried alternative routes through Akure, but nothing worked. Today, they rescheduled my flight multiple times—from 8 a.m., to 9:30 a.m., then 12 p.m., and now 5:30 p.m.—while my crew and production were already on set. They are not only toying with my time but with my livelihood. My lawyer will take this up.”
She lamented the lack of communication and accountability from the airline, saying the experience was painful and unsafe, especially since she had no local contacts in Ekiti.
The incident comes less than a month after commercial flight operations resumed in Ekiti State, raising concerns about the reliability and professionalism of airline services in the region.
