The remains of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer, Lasisi Oluwamayokun, and her daughter, Adesewa, were laid to rest in Osogbo, Osun State, following their tragic deaths.
The burial service took place at St. John’s Anglican Church, Ita-Olookan, Osogbo, drawing family members, colleagues, and sympathizers who came to pay their final respects. Oluwamayokun, 38, served with the Ogun State Command of the FRSC.
The mother and daughter had gone missing on Sunday, November 2, 2025, after leaving their residence at Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta. Police confirmed that they never returned home, prompting urgent reports to security agencies by worried relatives and colleagues.
Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of Victor Fajemirokun, identified as the deceased officer’s partner. During police interrogation, Fajemirokun allegedly confessed that he lured Oluwamayokun and her daughter to Osun State, where they were killed with the assistance of suspected herbalists.
Two additional suspects, Gboyega Daramola and Sunday James, were also paraded by the Osun State Police Command in connection with the killings. Police have stated that investigations are ongoing and that all suspects will be charged to court upon the conclusion of inquiries.
At the burial, colleagues of the slain officer were visibly distraught as the caskets were lowered into the ground. A family member expressed the collective grief of those present: “This is a painful and heartbreaking loss. We are still struggling to understand how this could happen.”
