FirstHoldCo Strengthens Governance with New Board Appointments

First HoldCo Plc has appointed new board members across its non-commercial banking subsidiaries, following approvals from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM). The appointments aim to enhance governance, strengthen oversight, and support sustainable growth across the Group.

At First Asset Management Limited, Ebikabo Williams was named Chairman. Williams brings extensive experience in banking, capital markets, and consulting and will work alongside board members Usman Dantata Jr., Binta Max Gbinije, and Alero Mobola Adollo.

At FirstCap Limited, Yewande Amusan takes the role of Chairman, supported by Ahmed Indimi, Irene Akpofure, Adenike Kuti, and Zeal Akaraiwe, combining expertise from both public and private sectors.

First Securities Brokers Limited, recently recognized as the top performer in the NGX Brokers Performance Report, appointed John Akpeki as Chairman. Akpeki’s global marketing and networking experience will guide the board alongside Omolara Adeyemi, Susan Younis, and Kemi Andu-Alausa.

First Trustees Limited, specializing in trust and estate management, named John Lee as Chairman. Lee brings over 40 years of global financial services experience in corporate and institutional banking and wealth management. He is joined by Abiola Alabi, Adebisi Sola-Adeyemi, and Ugochukwu Obi-Chukwu.

For the Group’s insurance business, First Insurance Brokers, which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, Akinola Phillips was appointed Chairman, working with Ije Onejeme, Folukemi Akinmeji, and Mojisola Cardozo.
