A man has alleged that Greater Liberation City International Ministry Centre, reportedly owned by Nigerian pastor Chris Okafor, has been shut down in Toronto, Canada. The development comes amid ongoing disputes between the pastor and Nollywood actress Doris Ogala, who has made serious allegations against him.
In a video circulating online, the individual claimed the ministry has been formally dissolved and is no longer legally recognized to operate in Canada. He further stated that Pastor Bashiru Igbanor, also known as Pastor David Igbanor, who is associated with the church, should leave the country since his work permit was allegedly tied to the now-dissolved ministry.
As of now, there has been no official confirmation or comment from Pastor Okafor, the church, or Canadian authorities regarding the claims.
The man in the video said, “We will not allow any fake church to operate. Greater Liberation City International Ministry Centre, owned by Chris Okafor, has been dissolved in Toronto. By law, it no longer exists. The immigration authorities should ensure Pastor David Igbanor returns to Nigeria, where he can continue his religious activities legally.”
