Ope Banwo’s AiFlix360 Shines at India’s NIFFA with Four Major Wins

Nigerian creativity stole the spotlight on the global film stage as AiFlix360 Films, the AI-powered studio founded by Dr. Ope Banwo, won four major awards at the 2026 Nawada International Film Festival Awards (NIFFA) in India.

The Nigerian film company was recognized across multiple top categories, firmly placing Nigeria in the conversation about the future of AI-driven filmmaking.

From documentary to animation and feature films, AiFlix360 dominated the awards night. Wakanda Is Real won Best Documentary Film, while Detty December claimed Best Animation Film. The studio also took Best Foreign Film for Guardians of Naija and Best Feature Film for Talent Hunt.

Three of the award-winning titles were directed by Banwo himself. The achievement is particularly impressive considering the competition: over 2,300 films were submitted by filmmakers from more than 80 countries.

Speaking on the milestone, Banwo described the recognition as a validation of both his creative journey and the studio’s innovative approach:

“Winning four awards at a festival of this scale shows that AI filmmaking is not a novelty; it’s a serious new creative frontier,” he said. “At AiFlix360, we’re proving that when technology meets strong storytelling and creative discipline, the result can compete anywhere in the world.”
