
Professor Abiodun Adeniyi, a Communications expert at Baze University, Abuja, has stated that Nigeria still carries vestiges of military rule, a legacy likely to persist for some time.
Speaking in an interview on Arise Television, Adeniyi stressed the need to memorialise and reward the military for their sacrifices. He highlighted the significance of acknowledging fallen heroes and observing special days like January 15 to honour their contributions, noting that the military remains central to the country’s stability.
