Legal practitioner Obed Agu has criticised the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State, describing it as “unbecoming” that the House of Assembly continues impeachment proceedings despite President Bola Tinubu’s intervention to resolve the matter.
Speaking on Arise Television, Agu acknowledged the separation of powers among the executive, legislature, and judiciary but noted that courts could still review such proceedings. He emphasised that continuing the impeachment efforts undermines governance in the state and called for political solutions rather than prolonged conflicts.
