Why Kids Should Stop Being Kissed — Angela Okorie Sparks Debate Online

Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has stirred conversation on social media after sharing a strong message advising parents to stop kissing their children mouth to mouth.

Taking to her Instagram story, the actress expressed concern over what she described as a growing trend among parents, questioning why cheek kisses are no longer enough when showing affection to kids.

In her words, Angela wrote:

“Stop kissing your kids mouth to mouth. Haaaaa. What happened to the cheek? They are kids, they don’t need your infected mouth, please. Kiss them on the cheek.”

She went further to stress that such behaviour is not only unusual but could also be unhygienic and potentially harmful to children’s health.

Angela added:

“People will kiss their mother mouth to mouth, kiss father mouth to mouth. Wetin happen to cheek? Una dey vex me for this app? Abi I be old fashioned? Why mouth to mouth?”

Her remarks quickly sparked mixed reactions online. While many social media users agreed with her stance, citing hygiene and health concerns, others argued that it is simply a harmless form of parental affection.

Despite the divided opinions, Angela’s comments have reignited discussions around healthy boundaries and safer ways parents can express love to their children.
