An APC chieftain warns Wike that if he were Fubara, he would prevent him from coming to Rivers again.

Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has criticized the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, following remarks made by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications, Lere Olayinka, in a recent interview.

In the interview, Olayinka claimed that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s presidential ambitions were the root cause of the internal turmoil within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Eze dismissed this claim as a false and illogical perception, contrary to established facts.

Eze responded, asserting that Wike’s attack on Atiku was irrational, misleading, and stemmed from what he described as “hallucination and Atikuphobia.” He further explained that Wike’s criticism came as no surprise, as it was widely known that Wike was trying to align himself with President Bola Tinubu to remain politically relevant.

Eze also criticized Wike’s leadership style, describing him as a self-styled despot and dictator. He argued that if Wike were truly a peace-loving democrat, he would not have opposed Siminalaye Fubara, who was democratically elected to govern Rivers State.

“If I were Fubara, I would make it clear that Wike could only enter the state at his own risk,” Eze stated, highlighting Wike’s reluctance to allow another leader to govern unless it was under his control. He called this attitude “annoying” and “nauseating” for Nigerians.

Eze went on to accuse Wike of being the primary architect of the ongoing crisis within the PDP due to his selfish motives. He also pointed out that despite Wike’s long tenure in various political roles, it was the PDP that provided him with the platform to rise to power.

In conclusion, Eze urged Wike to abandon his political maneuvers against Atiku, warning that they would ultimately lead him to political ruin.
