Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has revealed that her children are being bullied at school as a result of false social media narratives targeting her and her family.

Speaking in a video on Instagram, Johnson explained that trolls have labeled her a witch online, leading other parents to warn their children against interacting with her kids. The actress stressed that these attacks are causing real harm to her family and warned that anyone making such allegations must prove them in court.

“This is about my kids. They are teenagers and are being bullied because of lies online. Please leave my name and my husband’s name out of your mouths,” Johnson said. She also alleged that some blogs spreading false news are owned by colleagues in the industry.

Johnson emphasized that she will pursue legal action against those responsible, saying, “I don’t care who owns the blogs or why they write these things. The law will take its course. I will not allow my children to be bullied because of lies.”

The actress called for respect for her family and condemned the online harassment that continues despite her private life being unrelated to the accusations.
