
In a significant strategic move, the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Anele, has approved a sweeping reshuffle of principal and command officers across the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).
According to a statement from the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the appointments are designed to enhance operational efficiency, improve decision-making, and align with the new leadership’s command philosophy.
Key Appointments in the Redeployment
The shakeup affects several key positions, including:
- Chief of Policy and Plans: Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Abubakar Abdullahi
- Chief of Operations: AVM Precious Amadi
- Chief of Air Intelligence: AVM Nnamdi Ananaba
- Chief of Training: AVM Ahmed Dari
- Air Officer Commanding, Mobility Command: AVM Michael Onyebashi
The restructuring also covers logistics, engineering, and administrative branches, with officers appointed to lead the NAF’s investment arm, housing, farms, and civil-military relations.
The statement noted that several other senior officers have been redeployed to various defence establishments to strengthen joint operations and national defence coordination.
