
Rivers United will learn their group stage opponents in the CAF Champions League on Monday, DAILY POST reports.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the official group stage draw will take place at the SuperSport Studios in Johannesburg, South Africa.
So far, 15 clubs have secured qualification for the lucrative group stage of Africa’s premier club competition.
Rivers United sealed their place after a 3–2 aggregate victory over Black Bulls of Mozambique.
Finidi George’s men lost the first leg 1–0 away but bounced back to record a 3–1 win in the return fixture played in Port Harcourt.
The achievement marks a historic milestone for Rivers United, who will be making their first-ever appearance in the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
