Benson Boone Explains Concert Cancellation

On Saturday, Nov. 1, Boone shared on Instagram Stories:

“I am so sorry but I will not be able to perform tonight. I have tried everything I can to revive my voice, but I cannot give you the show I’d like to be able to give you with the condition of my throat right now.”

He added: “This is genuinely the crappiest feeling, I am so sorry. I promise you I will do everything in my power to make it up to you. I’ll update you guys as soon as I can. Thank you for everything you do. I love you guys so much.”

The cancellation came less than an hour before his scheduled performance at Utilita Arena Birmingham, leaving fans disappointed but understanding of the singer’s situation.

Health Challenges During the American Heart World Tour

Boone is currently on his American Heart World Tour, which kicked off on Aug. 22, 2025. Known for his high-energy performances and stage acrobatics, including backflips, Boone has been thrilled about the tour, describing it as “vastly different than anything I have ever done before.”

“We have a far bigger stage than I’ve ever seen before, with choreographed moments and better outfits,” Boone said in August. “Rehearsing for two weeks might not sound interesting, but it’s a big deal to me.”

Despite his current throat issues, Boone remains committed to delivering memorable performances for his fans.

Upcoming Shows and Special Events

Boone recently announced a one-night-only concert at the Kennedy Space Center’s Rocket Garden on Nov. 29, which will also be live-streamed globally on TikTok.

“Visa and NASA have truly gone above and beyond bringing this show together,” Boone said. “This show is going to be so insanely sick and one I’ll remember forever. I hope everyone likes my outfit as much as I do.”

Fans are eagerly anticipating his return to the stage, and Boone has assured them that rescheduled dates for the Birmingham show will be announced soon.
