Football in Serbia and Bosnia mourns the untimely death of Mladen Zizovic, FK Radnicki 1923’s newly appointed manager, who collapsed during a Serbian SuperLiga match and later passed away in hospital. The tragic incident left players and officials in tears and brought an abrupt halt to the game against Mladost Lucani on Monday.

Zizovic, 44, was receiving treatment on the pitch before being rushed to the hospital. The match initially continued but was abandoned shortly before half-time as news of his passing spread throughout the stadium. Video footage captured players and officials from both teams visibly distraught by the shocking event.

The manager had only taken charge of FK Radnicki 1923 on 23 October 2025, making his death all the more sudden and devastating for the club.
