
Adolphus Wabara, Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT), has called on warring members of the party to “sheathe their swords” and prioritize unity. He made the plea while chairing a BoT meeting at the Bauchi State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro on Wednesday.

- Wabara emphasized BoT neutrality, focusing solely on mediating differences within the party.
- The meeting was attended by BoT members including Ahmed Makarafi, Jerry Gana, Senator Ben Obi, Josephine Anenih, Zainab Maina, and members of the Umar Damagum-led National Working Committee (NWC).
- This was the first appearance of National Chairman Umar Damagum since the suspension of the Senator Anyanwu-led NWC last week.
- Damagum applauded an Oyo State High Court ruling directing PDP to proceed with its National Elective Convention in Ibadan and insisted it must hold as scheduled.
- A reconciliation committee was announced to resolve internal disputes and unite the factions.
- Members reiterated support for the Damagum-led NWC and affirmed that the convention should go ahead.
