Nigerian actress Bisola Badmus is marking her birthday with gratitude, reflecting on her battle with a brain tumor diagnosed in 2022.
In an emotional Instagram post, Bisola thanked God for His mercy, describing herself as “hale and hearty” and expressing relief at surviving the life-threatening illness. She called the experience one she wouldn’t wish on anyone, not even her enemies.
“It all started in 2022 when this illness came knockin’. I thought it was a joke, not until I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It almost took my life, but Alhamdulillah. All thanks to God Almighty for His intervention,” she wrote.
Bisola also appreciated the people who supported her through the ordeal, especially her son, Abdul Malik, who “stayed strong and firm during these trying times.”
“Oh my beloved son, may God grant me long life in sound health so I can take you around the world. Thank you for showing me how much I mean to you,” she added.
Grateful for another year of life, she described herself as a living testimony of God’s power:
“I’m grateful to God for giving me the opportunity and grace to witness another year alive. I’m a living testimony of what God can do.”
She concluded her heartfelt message by celebrating herself:
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME. ABISOLA ADUNNI ADUNBARINMATOSHI ENI O.”
