The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially welcomed Senator Ireti Kingibe, representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), into its ranks.

The lawmaker formally joined the party on Thursday after collecting her membership card in Abuja, DAILY POST reports.

Reacting to her defection, ADC, through its Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi, said more defections are expected in the coming days.

The party lauded Senator Kingibe for her courage and integrity, noting that it would have been easier for her to join the ruling party.
